This one was another winner from one of Turtle Bay’s finest restaurants:
Roy’s Beach House.
We feasted on a variety of delicously prepared fresh fish and pastries that had me going ONO for days!
For those that don’t know, “ono” is Hawaiian for delicious food.
So without further adieu…
We enjoyed fresh sushi as you must always do when visiting Hawaii.
And of course, nothing’s better than sushi other than the sashimi. These fresh cuts of tuna, salmon, swordfish, and yellowtail literally melted with each bite. Wasabi and ginger with soy sauce always spark up a wide range of taste buds that adds excitement to this dish.
As you can tell, the stir-fry was so good I forgot to grab a picture before we dove in. The smells were irresistiable and in a way, this dish was honored.
The cooked fish cakes and seared salmon were enough to share with the whole party. As proven in every single restaurant we visited on Maui, the Hawaiians have some of the most consistently highest-quality fish I’ve had. Most likely a result of their preservation and respect of the environment.
We were so stuffed by the end of this meal, but the staff at Roy’s Beach House was so accomodating they suprized us with a combination of deserts which paired nicely with our brandy for the evening.
