Wow, I am so rejuvenated with so much energy you wouldn’t believe it. But then again, of course you could. I just had the time of my life coasting Maui with some of my closest friends.
And these views were INSANE!

Now, to the food!!! There’s seriously nothing like authentic Hawiian food, and this trip featured so many winners. I’ll start with this gem found at the Turtele Bay Resort on the North Shore: Pa’aki.
According to their site, Pa’akai takes its name after “sea salt” in the Hawaiian language. Its supposed to reflect their belief in the relationship between good food in Hawaii and taking good care of the environment and always serving the freshest organic produce, and sustainably caught seafood available. After the food, I’m definitely a believer.
My friends and I passed around some of the best seafood we’ve had, even for Hawaii’s standards.
This was a mean, crispy dish that paired incredibly with our Rose for the night. (jk, that’s not all we had that night 😉)
We also enjoyed a variety of other fish dishes including oysters served with salmon in a vinegerrate, and some legendary clams and appetizers .
